Equality in Sports
At Avento we have been working and fighting to achieve equality in sports for more than 15 years. Each and every one of the sports management plans, studies or actions we produce is marked by the intersectional nature of our work and includes gender mainstreaming.
Equality constitutes one of the pillars of our sports management. Our background in the field proves it. We have actively participated, with Ainhoa Azurmendi, in the last three world conferences on sport and equality, as well as in different high-profile international forums.
Our participation in international forums enables us to improve our knowledge of some of the subjects we incorporate to our projects, particularly aspects related to equality between men and women, and to sexual harassment and abuse in sport.
We consider sport to be an important asset for our society, a factor which strengthens our commitment to working on the design and introduction of public policies on equality in sports as well as on the drawing up of protocols to prevent sexual harassment and abuse in sport.
