Aquavox-San Agustín is a hydrothermal centre located in the historic centre of Pamplona. It was built in 2009 with the aim of offering the citizens of Pamplona a facility geared towards physical activity, health and wellbeing.
Since its opening, the facility has been managed under a service concession contract. Recent financial years have been conditioned by factors such as the pandemic and the energy crisis, which has led to an unsustainable increase in the operating deficit of the facility. In addition, the building suffers from a series of problems and pathologies that have made it necessary to carry out interventions that have affected the normal development of the programmed activity.
Given the need to review the economic parameters of the contract and analyse the impact of the planned interventions in the building on the ordinary activity of Aquavox, a diagnosis of the situation has been carried out, addressing different aspects related to the management of the equipment, with the aim of designing the tender following a previously considered strategy and adjusting the parameters of the future contract to the expectations of social and economic return required for a facility such as Aquavox.
